He is survived by: his wife Brenda McCraw Byars; his children, Troy Wayne Byars of Mooresboro, NC and Lesley Byars Ledbetter (Jody) of Mooresboro, NC; his siblings, Willie Byars (Dot) of Mooresboro, NC, Brenda Roach (Wayne) of Mooresboro, NC and Ruth Sexton (Larry) of Hendersonville, NC; his grandchildren, Manda Fauble (Jeff), Monica Bridges (Chad), Lindsay Byars, Josh Settlemyre (Savannah) and Riley Ledbetter; and his great grandchildren, Jordyn and Connor.
