He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Parrish and Ila Lorraine Akin; and his brother James "Jimmy" Parrish. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Parrish; his daughter Lauren Parrish; his brother Donald Parrish (Shirley) of Conroe, TX; his sister-in-law Susan Crumpton; and his nieces and nephews, Robert, Matthew, Kim, Stacey, Kelly, Marci and Olivia.
