He is survived by: his sons, Tony Powell (Catherine) of Ellenboro and Timmy Powell (Lisa) of Ellenboro; his siblings, Betty Canipe of Shelby, Jimmy Powell of Grover, NC, Donald Powell (Cindy) of Crowder's Mountain, NC and Billy Powell (Carol) of Mooresboro; and his grandchildren, Camryn, Chase and Mason Powell.
