He was predeceased by: his mother Iva Frances Keever; his wife Sheri Lanier; and his brother Robert Ledwell. He is survived by: his father Roy Lanier of Maiden; his son Brandon Lanier (Jennifer Poteat) of Shelby; his brother Michael Keever of Cherryville; his grandson Matthew Lanier; and his nephew Joshua Keever.
