He is survived by: his son Tavner Leon Dixon (Laurie Vernelson Dixon) of Chocowinity; his grandsons, Holden Chase Dixon of Montreat, NC and Jared Parker Dixon of Chocowinity; and his sisters, Gladys Winstead of Washington, NC, Elizabeth Respess of Terra Ceia, NC, Dorcas Swain of Hampton, VA and Shirley Elks of Chocowinity, NC.
