With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loretta Vance Buchanan of Montezuma, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Vance and Maxine Franklin Vance; her husband Gary Buchanan; and her sister Susie Kemper. She is survived by: her sons, Allen Buchanan (Lorie Clark) of Mountain City, TN and Bruce Buchanan (Martha Jo) of Newland, NC; her grandchildren, Ashley Buchanan, Michael Buchanan (Amanda), Keith Buchanan (Crystal), Gary R. Buchanan (Fallon), Brooke Ruppard (B. J.) and Devin Buchanan; her great grandchildren, Landon Buchanan, Aaleah Buchanan, Robin Maxine Buchanan, Harper Buchanan, Tilly Buchanan and Julia Wright; her sister Martha Tugman (Frank); her nieces and nephews, Billy Kemper, Jessica, Joshua Yates, Anna and Alex Palma; and her close friend Melba Andrews.
