She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marvin Funderburk and Margaret Louise Simpson Funderburk; and her husband Roger Love Simpson. She is survived by: her children, Robert "Rob" Simpson, Jamie Gaskins and Meredith Lyn Simpson (Franswa Hill); her brother Charles "Chuck" Funderburk; her grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Kayli Simpson, Isabella Hill and Dominic Hill; her niece Lauren Grismer (Jeremiah); her nephew Chase; and her great-nephews, Matthew and Michael Grismer.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
