He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jane Helms Blackwelder; his children, John Allen Blackwelder of Stanfield, NC and Gloria Jane Blackwelder Kluttz of Stanfield, NC; his granddaughter Phyllis Jane Kluttz; his great grandchild Nova Jane Pressley; and his sister Lucille Church of Charlotte, NC..
