We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2021, at the age of 94, Vaughn Richard Lemmond of Monroe, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Mae McGinnis Lemmond and Walter Franklin Lemmond; and his son Vaughn Richard Lemmond Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia McCauley Austin Lemmond; his children, Carol Lemmond Atnip (Gilbert), Patricia Lemmond White (William), Teresa Austin (Eric Kindrick) and William Austin (Blair); and his grandchildren, Richard Atnip, Allison Atnip (James Stone), Love Larissa White (Jonny Logrono) and Wyatt Austin. He is also survived by nine children, seven sons and two daughters.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

“What a nice man and a great bowler. He became a customer of mine over 25 years ago and a friend over time. He shot the first 300 game at Carolina lanes and I said who is that old man lol. He always was so friendly yet humble will miss him. He's still bowling believe me. We will see each other again someday. Sympathy to his family on their loss. Was nice to meet his grandson also who was such a nice young man and you could tell he looked up to his grandpa.”
