He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Lee Purser Sr. and Marie Smith Purser; his children, Peggy Purser Moyer and Scott Lee Purser; and his siblings, John Huey Purser and Frances Nance Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Horne Purser; his daughter Troyanne Funderburk (Melvin); his children-in-law, Tom Moyer (Robin Cole) and Kathy Purser; his grandchildren, Matthew Moyer (Sherry), Wesley Moyer (Lauren), Kristen Thomas (Trey), Olivia, Landon and Farrah Funderburk; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Gracie, Hope and Isaac Moyer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (5928 New Salem Rd, Marshville, NC 28103). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
