He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter DeClyde and Nellie Presson Davis; his daughter Terry Leonard; and his brothers, Marvin Davis and Harry Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Helms Davis; his children, Steve Davis (Sharon), Debbie Stallings (Cam) and Mike Davis (Donna); his siblings, Ray Davis (Joyce) and Betty Bowlin (Nick); his sisters-in-law, Hazeline Davis and Bobbie Greene; and his caregiver Sharon Bug Davis. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Packs of Love or Hospice of Charlotte.
