She is survived by: her husband Roger Melgara of Charlotte; her daughters, Gloria Enedina Melgara Moreno (Santiago) of Charlotte and Katia Denisse Melgara Moreno of Charlotte; her siblings, Michael Polk (Joyce) of Monroe, Leeroy Polk of Monroe, Charles Polk (Betty) of Monroe, Aubrey Polk (Robin) of Monroe, Larry Polk (Loretta) of Peachland, Mary Anne Reid (Danny) of Monroe and Michell Thomas (Chris) of Monroe; her aunt Mattie Lou Polk of Wingate; and her nieces and nephews, Andrea Polk, Shamekia Houston, Deedria Faulkner, Marquita Houston, Katrina Polk, Nikki Polk, Jessica Houston, Brandi Marsh, Tasha Reid, Emily Polk, Breyana Thomas, Felicia Joseph, Adrail Reid, Vonzel Robinson, Anthony Polk, Chris Thomas Jr., Isaiah Thomas and Maurice Polk.
