With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tamara Hicks Rhodes (Monroe, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Uriah Amos Hicks and Mary Agnes Funderburk Hicks; and her siblings, Billy Hicks, Norman Hicks, Franklin Hicks, Little Buc Hicks, Joel Hicks and Josephine Moore.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Kane Rhodes; her daughter Dondriah Holland (Bill); her grandsons, Tommy "TJ" Bivens Jr. (Zina) and Craig "Emerson" Bivens (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Kayleigh Clontz (Jacob), Hannah Stephens (Dylan), Maddox Bivens and Emorie Bivens; her great great grandchild Amelia Clontz; her niece Monteau McManus; her son-in-law Bill Holland; and her grandchildren, TJ, Zina Bivens, Emerson and Brittany Bivens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice in her memory.
