She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Herman Moore and Mildred H. Moore; and her siblings, Kathryn Griffin, Jane Austin, Lois Funderburk and Robert E. Moore.

She is survived by: her husband Robert D. Mills; her sons, Christopher D. Mills (Kelly) and Timothy R. Mills (Carla); her grandchildren, Payton Mills, Ryan Mills, Bergen Mills, Cody Boling and Samantha Boling; and her siblings, Linda Adcock Pierce, Edward Moore and Joseph Moore. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Hometown Heroes.
