Ruth Sloan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Sloan of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2021 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oren Jefferson Sloan Sr. and Addie Sloan; her brothers, Howard Levan Sloan and Oren Jefferson Sloan Jr.; and her daughter Anita Purser.
She is survived by: her son Chip Holt (Shelley); her grandchildren, Anna Updegraft (Ben), Taylor Holt and Madison Holt; and her great grandchild Elijah Updegraft. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given in Ruth's memory to Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, P.O. Box 1484, Indian Trail, NC 28079 or to your local animal shelter.
