He was predeceased by: his parents, J. M. Clyburn and Pearleane Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Clyburn; his daughters, Jessica Bennett of Polkton, NC and Quiotte Bennett of Polkton, NC; and his siblings, Anna Clyburn of Charlotte, NC, Pearlette Yarbrough (Dale) of Cameron, NC, Pastor J. Van Clyburn (Fannie) of Wadesboro, NC, Larry Clyburn of Monroe, NC and Jim Clyburn of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
