She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gay and Alma Stack Gay; her husband Olin Smith; and her son David Olin Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Douglas Smith of Monroe, Rodney Smith of Albemarle and Timothy Dwayne Smith of Monroe. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
