He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Bleeze and Harriet Virginia Ross Younts; his wife Lou Ellen Secrest Younts; his siblings, Frances Younts Secrest and Howard Younts; and his great grandchild Zachary Ryker Younts.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Younts (Tonya) and Dawn Hancock (Calvin); his grandchildren, Zach Younts (Ashley), Megan Patterson (Zach), Tyler Younts Cole (Amber) and Hailey Deason (Zach); his great grandchildren, Raylyn Younts, Emma Younts, Paisley Younts, Rhett Younts and Laikyn Younts; and his siblings, Dale Younts and Shirley Roland (Don). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Baptist Children's Home of North Carolina.
