We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2021, at the age of 57, Phillip Wayne Abernathy Jr. of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Wayne and Sarah Louise McCarter Abernathy. He is survived by: his sisters, Tamela Parker (Benny) of Monroe, NC and Kim Elliott (Andy); and his aunt JoAnne Fernandez (Lupe) of Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Due to current social distancing and pandemic rules, a memorial service in Butch's name will be held at a later date that is yet to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Butch's name to his family would be appreciated for caring for expenses during this time.
