He is survived by: his wife Leona; his children, Pam Harwood (Harold) and Mark Carter, Sr.; and his stepchildren, Donald Lynn Strawn, Phyllis Ann Hargett (Ricky) and Donna Boone (Tony). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
