It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peggy Louise York of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pruette Carpenter and Louise Kiker Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Peggy and Billy; her husband Billy York; her children, Shannon Norwood (Patrick) of Unionville and Adam York (Kathy) of Nicholasville, KY; her grandchildren, Jonathan York, Pruette Norwood, Jacob York and William Norwood; and her brother Joseph Carpenter of Charlotte.
Due to the increase in Covid cases, the family will have a private celebration of life at their home at a later date.
