Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Paul Spence (Monroe, North Carolina), born in Spencerville, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 83, on December 16, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Spence and Pauline Harner Spence; his son David Spence of Monroe; his grandson Billy Spence; and his siblings, Everett Spence, Ralph Spence (Jim) and Ella Mae Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Tadlock Spence; his children, Bob Spence (Lisa) of Monroe, Tim Spence of Monroe, Steven Polk (Amy) of Monroe and Tammy Vaughn of Monroe; his grandchildren, David (Rusty), Alan Spence of Monroe, Gail Polk of Tennessee, Steven Polk Jr. of Lexington, NC, Dustin Rainey (Lauren) of Waxhaw, Anthony Vaughn (AJ) of Monroe, Brandon Polk (Etiska) of Lexington, NC and Lindsay Polk of Matthews; his great grandchildren, Layla Spence, Maci Polk and Eleanor Polk; and his siblings, Dewey Spence (Lynda) of Monroe, Leroy Spence of Ohio and Mertie Shauder (Chuck) of Ohio.
The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Monroe for such wonderful care, and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or Love Baptist Church.
