He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Steele (Ruby Irene Steele); and his brother Richard Steele. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Broome Steele; his children, Greg Steele (Christy Steele), Chuck Steele and Debbie Steele (Gary Arbogast); and his brother Mike Steele (Jan Steele). He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
