It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Gene Williams of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Williams and Mary Ruth Williams; his sister Enola Gay Williams Boyd; his brother-in-law John Boyd; and his nephew Travis Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Williams; his stepchildren, Kari Haigler (Tony) and Robbie Stegall (Megan); his former wife Bernice Thompson Pressley; his son Jeremy Williams (Marla); his brother Vernon Williams (Kay); his grandchildren, Justin Stegall, Erin Haigler, Carissa Stegall, William Haigler, Daxtyn Stegall, Leightyn Stegall and Anna Williams; his nieces, Beth Williams, Minda Ciardi, Shayna Boyd and Rachel Boyd-Nichols; and his nephew Andy Williams. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
