She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kreed Sheppard Sr. and Ruth Frisbee Sheppard; her daughter Jeannie Starnes Laney; and her siblings, William Sheppard Jr., Tony Sheppard, Mickey Sheppard and Shirley Ann Nicks.
She is survived by: her husband Louis Starnes of Monroe; her siblings, Steve Sheppard (Diane) of Shelby, Richard Roy Sheppard (Ann) of Shelby, Kenneth Sheppard (Louise) of Pumpkin Center and Doris Rhoton of Sherrills Ford; and her children, Lewey Starnes of Monroe, Toby Starnes (Trudy) of Monroe, Baden Starnes (Crystal) of Monroe and Markey Laney of Waxhaw. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Service (806 Circle Dr, Monroe, NC 28112).
