She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady John Jones and Ollie Matthews Jones; her husband C. W. Wade, Jr. (Bill); her daughter Kimberly Ann Wade; and her siblings, Ilee Jones Lee, Hubert Leonard Jones, Jackie Jones Bucher and W. R. Jones (Mutt).

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Tamara Wade-Harbin (Jonathan) of Monroe and Springs Wade of Asheville, NC; her siblings, Ira Snead of Spartanburg, SC, John Jones of Chesterfield, SC and Shirley Macklin (Bill) of Cary, NC; her close friends, Annie and Kitty; and also, Dr. Chris Dawson, Dr. John Jones and Tami Acquino of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region.
