With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Shannon Broome (Monroe, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 19, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Shannon and Sydney Shannon; her husband William "Buddy" Broome; and her siblings, Mildred Lowery, Dorothy Fowler, Mary Crisp and Bruce Shannon.
She is survived by: her brother Gordon Shannon (Bobbi); her children, Melissa and Todd (Hollie); and her grandsons, Luke and Cole Broome.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Atrium Health Hospice Union, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
