We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2022, at the age of 80, Larry Vance Rushing (Monroe, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Fanander Rushing and Mary Gertrude Simpson; and his siblings, Fanander Rushing, Raeford Rushing, Norman Rushing and Mary Lee Medlin.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn King Rushing; his children, Michael Dowd Rushing (Douglas) and Mary Annette Tarlton; his stepchildren, Roger Baucom (Susan) and Angelia Brown (Brian); his brother J. Hue Rushing (Belva); his grandchildren, Justin Tarlton (Jennifer), Jessica Garris (Phillip), Madison Brown, Kelsey Brown and Rebekah Baucom; his great grandchildren, Gabriel Garris, Lane Garris, Christopher Garris and Emma Garris; and his close friend Roxie.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565.
