He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Deese and Annie Simpson Deese; his son Reggie Deese, Jr.; and his siblings, Oliver J. "Doc" Deese, Ray Deese, Charles Deese, Bedford Deese, Lamar Deese, Eileen Powers, Louise Smith, Evelyn Penniger, Linda Rolfe and Patty Sue Deese.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Deese; his children, Timothy Deese (Missy) and Kimberly Stegall (Clayton); his grandchildren, Erika Faile (Anthony), Megan Deese, Lauren Deese, Hunter Deese, Hudson Deese and Kaycee Stegall (RJ); his great grandchildren, Kira Faile, Skylar Faile, Abby Mchaffey, Cooper Jackson and Dakota Aldridge; and his sister Mavis Dew.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe (204 S Main St, Monroe, NC 28112). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Moriah Methodist Church; 6722 Hwy 218 E. Marshville, North Carolina, 28103.
