He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henkle and Violet Henkle; his wife Alice Butler Henkle; his sons, Gary James Henkle and Rex Alan Henkle; and his caregivers, Jessica, Olga, Susan and Robin.
He is survived by: his son Barry Joe Henkle (LeeAnna); his siblings, Kathleen Benson of Ohio and William Willey of Ohio; his grandchildren, Sydney H. Redmond (Ryan), Jacob Henkle and Samuel Henkle (Cheyenne); and his great grandchildren, Camden Henkle, Ava Redmond, Alayna Redmond and Emersyn Redmond. He is also survived by two nieces and nephew.
The military honors was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holland Funeral Service (806 Circle Dr, Monroe, NC 28112).
