She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Curtis Benton and Margaret E. Mullis; her husband David Derrick; her son Patrick Derrick; her siblings, Kenneth Benton, Kay Furr and Phyllis Underwood; and her grandson Hayden Jones.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Katlynn, Allie, Aiden, Noel, Kylee, Corbin, Harper, Little David and Adam; her pet Colt; her children, Rodney Jones (Sheree), Charles "Chuck" Derrick (Heather) and Keri Williams (Cody); and her sisters, Deannie Carter (Dean) and Debbie Gentry.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made to Ground 40, 303 Dale St., Monroe, NC 28110.
