He was predeceased by: his parents, George Newton Bell and Mary Mann Bell; his wife Jo Hammond Bell; his brothers, George Lee Bell (Margery) of Abbeville, SC and Francis Jack Bell (Martha) of Elberton, GA; and his granddaughter Haley Parham Donley of Marietta, GA..
He is survived by: his children, Aileen Ray (Steve), Charles Bell (Beth) of Charlotte, NC, Roger Bell (Debi) of Clemmons, NC, Scott Bell (Beth) of Nashville, TN and Mark Bell (Linda) of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
