She was predeceased by: her parents, Newlin Bartimus Nicholson and Julia Kathleen Faison Nicholson; her daughter Katherine Mitchell Marlar; and her sister Mary Katherine Copple. She is survived by: her son Christopher Mitchell (Kristen) of Charlotte; and her son-in-law Jeff Marlar of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
