She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Reynolds Elms and Sallie Rowell Elms; and her siblings, Ervin Elms, Dolly Howard, Doris Herring and Nancy Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Ted Smith; her daughters, Yvette Smith of Charlotte, Macie Myers (Mike) of Monroe, Jessica Smith of Marshville and Jennifer Smith of Marshville; and her grandchildren, Stephen McCain (Mandy), Ted McCain (Vickie), Tyler Champion, Jeremy Champion (Bethany) and Christian Myers. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
