He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawson Griffin, Sr. and Bessie Frances Richardson Griffin; and his nephew Greg E. Mullis. He is survived by: his son David Scott Griffin of Monroe; his sister Janet Griffin Mullis (Kenny) of Monroe; and his nephew Travis Lawson Mullis (Catherine) of Monroe. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
