He is survived by: his wife Dean Blanton; his children, Andrew Kennon Blanton (Julie Blanton) and Miranda Thomas (Derek Thomas); his grandchildren, Andrew Blanton (Shelly Blanton), Alex Blanton, Kinsey Thomas and Lainey Thomas; his great grandchild Braxton Blanton; his sister Delores Murphey of Clinton, NC; and his sister-in-law Paula Pruett (David Pruett). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
