It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Silvanus Carter Jr. of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lydia Marie Pressley and John Silvanus Carter Sr. John; his former wife Elaine Starnes Carter; and his brother Larry Carter. He is survived by: his fiancée Vicky Harvell; his children, Chris Carter (Nicole), Crystal Flow (Paul) and Allyson Thomas (Greg); his grandchildren, Jacy, Bryson, Caleb and Maddox; and his siblings, Steve Carter (Mary), Kenny Carter (Angie) and Cathy Heverly (Scott).
