He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Horace Croom and Irene Croom; his wife Stephanie; his daughter Rosanna of London, UK; his siblings, Don Croom (Cleo) of Swansboro, NC, Barry (Lisa) of Tifton, GA and Becky Croom of Seven Springs, NC; and his brother-in-law George Batson (Joanna) of Charlotte, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church (P.O. Box 193, Monroe, NC 28111) in Jim's name.
