The memory of Jesse Raeford Lee of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2024 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Lee and Martha Wilma Long Lee; his wife Bobbie Jean Funderburk Lee; and his siblings, Alton Lee, Nona Williams, Wriston Lee, Eunice Drake, Beatrice Robbins, Mildred Tomberlin, Hilda Broome, Dorothy Olsen and Carole Taylor.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Lee (Tammy) of Monroe and Phillip Lee (Billie Ann) of Marshville; his granddaughter Carla Lee Bowers (Phillip); his great grandchildren, Clayton, Andrew Bowers, Mikayla, Madison Lee, Memphis Alvarez, Patience Stamey, Makenna Stamey and Payton Stamey; and his close friend Kenneth Sarfaty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mountain Springs Baptist Church (2509 Mountain Springs Church Rd, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
