He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wylie Starnes and Maxine Trull Starnes; and his siblings, Johnny Starnes and Susan Starnes. He is survived by: his brother Steve Starnes; his children, Sean Starnes (Gina), Joy Starnes and Eric Starnes; and his grandchildren, Alesana, Delilah, Jack and Hank.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
