He was predeceased by: his mother Rosa Laverne McGee Hooks. He is survived by: his father James Allen Hooks Sr. (Linda Knight); his sister Angela Duncan (Tony); his children, James Dean Hooks, Amber Rose Hooks (Colby Hendrix) and Rachel Kinney (Eric Sargent); his grandchildren, Camron Hooks, Jaden Hooks, Shalynn Hendrix and Kace Sargent; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Duncan, Rachel Simpson (Montana), Isaac and Eli Duncan.
