He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram S. Hamilton and Isabel Garrison Hamilton; and his wife Catharine. He is survived by: his children, Henry G. Hamilton, Jr. (Martha) of Monroe, NC and Nissa Hamilton (Theressia) of Vashon, WA; his stepchildren, Ellen Bishop Guffey (Allen) of Florence, SC, Mary Bishop Rich (Jim) of Wilmington, NC and William Warren Bishop, Jr. (Mary Beth) of Millers Creek, NC; his granddaughter Chera Hamilton; his stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Morris, Robert Guffey, Jordan Oswalt and Will Bishop; his great grandchild Caleb Lemmond; his stepgreat-grandchildren, EJ, Drew, Gage Morris, Addison and Grayson Guffey; his sister Helen Williams (Tom) of Matthews, NC; and his sister-in-law Linda Taylor of Asheville, NC..
