She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Secrest and Pauline Benton Secrest; her stepmother Mabel Secrest (Randall Lathan); and her sister Joan Secrest Fielden. She is survived by: her son Eric Randall Lathan (Anita); her grandchildren, Heather Marie Cashwell (Richard) and Matthew Randall Lathan; her great grandchild Alyssa Cashwell; her brother Pat Secrest (Gayle); and her brother-in-law Joe Fielden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 3522 Secrest Shortcut Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
