He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Knupp and Gay Reamer Knupp; his son Devin Knupp; his half-sister Tisa Johnston; and his stepsister Diane Geisel.

He is survived by: his half-sister Gwinnette Ashe (Bob) of Walnut Creek; his stepmother Juanita Knupp of Broadway; his stepsiblings, Pam Rickers of Albuquerque, NM., Tyrone Palmer of Broadway and Jeff Palmer of Timberville; and his close friend Anita Howie of Monroe, NC..
