He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Sullivan Pendry and Virgil James Pendry Sr. Gary; and his brothers, Ronald Pendry and Virgil Pendry Jr. Gary. He is survived by: his fiancée Donna Nelson; his children, Destiny Belen Lawson (Daniel), Rheanna Lawson and Justin Darden; and his siblings, Karen Kelly (Mike), Elaine Miller (Eddie), Denise Staten, Zane Pendry (Debbie), Donald Pendry (Rose) and Carlton.

At this time a Celebration of Life will be held in Matheny, West Virginia in the spring of 2021 due to covid19.
