He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Barton and Ida Barton; his siblings, John Barton, Dorothy "Dot" Barton, Gordan Barton, Violet Barton, Louis Barton, Louise Barton, Edna Barton, Theodore "Teddy" Barton, Alfred Barton, Irene Barton, Betty Barton and Grace Iris Barton; and his nephew Robert.

He is survived by: his family, David, Maria and Priscilla.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Holland Funeral Service (806 Circle Dr, Monroe, NC 28112). The military honors will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144).
