He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Newton Deese and Grace Simpson Hoachlander; his wife Yoshiko Higa Deese; his sisters, Edith Teague and Millie Moser; and his grandson Nathan Carpenter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gail Carpenter, Therese Hines (David), Vivian Huneycutt (David), Marian Deese and Beverly Eubanks (Jammie). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
All are welcome to attend the graveside service, practicing proper social distancing including face coverings.
