With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Filomena Millen of Monroe, North Carolina, born in Cranston, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelo Nicoletti and Antonetta Gliottone Nicoletti; her husband Larry Wayne Millen, Sr.; her son Robert James Alexander; and her brothers, Anthony Nicoletti and Joseph Nicoletti.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Wayne Millen, Jr. (Tina) of Unionville, Julie Millen Baucom of Marshville and Lisa Millen Oakley (Lee) of Monroe; her grandchildren, Stacey, Jamie, April, Chad, Jake, Demetric, Stephilyn, Cameron, Tyler, Kai, James and Samantha; her great grandchildren, Haley, Jordan, Lennox, Marilyn, Daxton, Andrew, Ryker and Maddox; her siblings-in-law, David Millen (Louise) and Faye Sutton Macumber (Don); and her close friends, Hilda Mills, Tom, Kathy Ferguson, Shirley Dean, Pam, Lee Woodiwiss, Julius, Judy Spears, Linda Carter and Ann Clontz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Richmond County Memorial Park Cemetery (1717 E Broad Ave, Rockingham, NC 28379).
