He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Johnson Capell; his children, Darren Dwayne Capell (Laura) of Waxhaw and Bethanie Capell (Donnie Reid) of Denver, NC; his sister Murle Smith (Joe) of Brevard, NC; and his grandchildren, Brandon Massey, Cody Capell, Cassidy West (Tyler West), Riley Capell and Sylvia "Baby" Capell.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the charity of donor's choice.
