It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elveira Clare Matheson of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Matheson; her siblings, Louis Baptiste, Herman Baptiste, John Baptiste, Albert Baptiste, Clifton Baptiste, Hector, Franky Baptiste, Doris Baptiste Sinonson, Eloise Baptiste Barrow, Muriel Baptiste Choy and Thelma Gonsalves; and her siblings-in-law, Albert Gonsalves, Ralph Ridley, Ray Matheson and Cynthia Vieira.

She is survived by: her siblings, Elaine Matheson, Sheila Ridley and Wilfred Vieira. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
